knows nothing about music. Since that day God kept giving us many praises through Mitsuko.
melody came to me, and I recorded it on my answering machine." I entered her room. She played the
recorded music. We froze, because there was a very low voice recorded together with Mitsuko's.
I imagined the voice of some living creatures written in the book of the Revelation. I was in awe of God
who had started something special before my eyes. I wrote down the recorded melody. It was so simple and sounded so dear to my soul. I had never heard such peaceful music in my life. It is impossible to explain which style of music this praise belongs to. I just could tell this song was from Heaven.
together. "What words do you think fit with this melody? 'Alleluia' and 'Amen' do not fit," said
Mitsuko. "How about 'Holy, holy'?" The words came out of my mouth.
me, "For these two days some melody was going around in my head. I think this melody is from the
Revelation 4:8. I will sing it now. Please write down the notes." He started singing over the phone. "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" When Mitsuko asked me about the lyrics, I suddenly remembered this verse. As we put this verse into the melody, it fit perfectly!
sang this new song for hours. When we finally stopped singing, I thought our room was in a different
dimension like Heaven. I opened the curtain to see outside. "Phew! We are still on the earth!" And the next day, we were practicing this new song "Holy, Alleluia" for service in the sanctuary. When a staff worker, Katsuko came in, she was in great awe, seeing something so holy, that she fell on her knees and started crying. Most staff workers heard it for the first time, but they said, "I might have heard this praise song a long time ago. It reminds me of the dear home of my soul."
came in the shop. She listened to the CD carefully and asked me, "What a beautiful music! This lyrics is
Latin, or is it another language?" I answered, "It is Japanese." She listened to it carefully again and said, "Yes, it is Japanese. It is interesting but it sounds different to me. I go to a Catholic Church, and know many beautiful praises, but this is not an ordinary kind of song. I am caught by this sound!" Even my grand aunt whose mother was a great pianist got so excited by this praise CD and she wondered, "I had never heard this kind of music in my life!" She asked my mother, "Where does this music come from?"
all people, whether Christian or not, want to praise God. Our true home is in Heaven. This praise song
was first given to us as a key to open the door to Heaven, and it unified Heaven and earth.
why God chose such a small Japanese Christian group like us, the typical gentiles, to send the heavenly
praises. I still do not know His reason, but I keep on singing the heavenly praises to make His will be done. Now I believe that all creatures have waited for the heavenly praises since God created this earth. All creatures in Heaven and earth praise His holy name eternally.
