When this unbelievable drama, the White Dove, unfolded before my eyes in around 1987, I
was a minister of the Japanese Christian Church of Philadelphia (United Presbyterian).
I was stunned to say the least. I had known a number of people who claimed to have
experienced all kinds of supernatural phenomena. Although I had never rejected their having such
experiences, I was cautious when they were caught up by supernatural gifts.
Mitsuko was different. She somehow knew not to be distracted by phenomena, and from the
very beginning, showed her zeal to know nothing but the truth. She was in quest only for its core, not
the periphery.
As soon as she accepted Christ crucified as her only Savior, the Lord led her from a narrow gate
to a narrow road. She sometimes traveled on the razor's edge. I was frightened sensing dangers, and
constantly prayed for her.
She was to renounce everything and everyone, including her family, herself, and her own
existence. It was easy to say, but the realization of the crucified life was severe. She was made to be a
witness of the redeeming love of Jesus Christ.
I have never seen a soul who had to go through such refining and scorching fire as Mitsuko did.
Narrow was the gate and difficult was the way. I trembled in awe time after time to see how the
Lord treated her. Indeed severe love it was.
Now I know that God's refinement is not only for Mitsuko but also for all those men and women
to follow the Lord.
For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of
Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us,
but life in you. (2 Corinthians 4:11-12)
The White Dove is now about to take off to the end of the world. Let it fly with healing on its
wings to your innermost.
You may be sometimes baffled by her writing style, when she writes about life beyond reason.
Those who grew up in the law of rationality may find it difficult to understand contradictory truth
such as, "Being and non-being at the same time." You may not be familiar with her narration. However,
you will find the abundance of life and the heavenly dimension of Christ's love, once your inner eyes are
opened.
May the light and the love fill your heart in the Lord.
